Report of a 64-Year-Old Female Not Breathing

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 14:12 hours Page Fire Department Units, Medic 10 (M10) and Engine 10 (E10) responded to a 64-year-old female bleeding from the nose; en-route the call was upgraded to a female not breathing.

Upon arrival bystanders were doing CPR. E10 and M10 crews took over chest compressions, Cardio Cerebral Resuscitation and Advanced Life Support interventions were initiated. Crew shocked the patient twice and was able to restore a normal heart rhythm, the patient then began breathing on her own. The patient was transported to Page Hospital via M10.

Upon arrival to Page Hospital the patient had a normal heart rhythm and was breathing on her own. Patient care was transferred to Page Hospital where she was stabilized and later flown to FMC.

Page Fire Department ambulances returned to service at 15:00 hours.
